Nadhege,will bring her intergenerational storytelling program, Paris Blues in Harlem: What Makes a Great Grandfather, to The Warwick Community School (P.S. 158 K) for a special Black History Month Assembly on February 27, 2026, from 8:55 AM to 10:37 AM.
Designed to uplift the cultural, emotional, and historical role of grandfathers and elder men in family and community life, the assembly blends storytelling, creative expression, and wellness practices to engage students in meaningful reflection and connection.
The program will feature:
- A live reading from the Paris Blues in Harlem children’s book series
- Guided student discussion on the role of grandfathers and elders
- Interactive art activities that help students express family legacy and identity
- Movement and wellness elements to support emotional awareness and engagement
Rooted in Harlem storytelling traditions but designed for classrooms and communities across New York City, the initiative is part of the broader #MakeGrandfatherGreatAgain movement, which promotes positive male role models as a strategy for strengthening families and preventing cycles of violence across generations.
