Vestments is a New York City goth band for the 21st century. A Frankenstein's monster of dark pop melodies, skronky sax, layered synths and languorous violin underpinned with the pathos of country twang and the raw energy of downtown NYC punk, Vestments sounds like if the Bad Seeds and Liars were the house band in a future noir juke joint.
Formed in Brooklyn during the pandemic, Tahiti Syndrome is the musical collaboration between Simon Sun (guitar/vocals) and Dave Spinley (sax) forging a unique blend of a noise pop, post punk and psych rock sounds that melt your face.
Expanding their creative endeavors, in 2023 they shot their first short film, a b&w sci-fi crime noir entitled, ‘SWITCHOUT: a Silent Film for a Sonic Experience’ and composed a soundtrack that is written to be performed live on stage with each screening.
