Camille Harris, charming local comedian, hosts her 40th birthday variety show at littlefield: standup, music, storytelling, videos, & more!
Back for one night only after a 10 year hiatus, beloved Brooklyn performer and alt-comedy scene darling Camille Harris revives her variety show for a massive 40th birthday celebration at littlefield.
Back in the day, (those 2010's were lit... think bangs, hipster outfits, you know... that era) The Camille Harris Show packed rooms at Parkside Lounge and became a staple of the downtown comedy scene, with mentions in The New York Times, Gothamist, and The Skint. Camille was also one of the creators of the cult hit variety show The Moon, which played Union Pool, The Royal Oak, and enjoyed sold-out runs at 92Y Tribeca. During that time she was included in the Music Comedy Hall of Fame by IFC and CollegeHumor and won the 50 Funny Songs contest at the New York Funny Songs Fest.
In the years since, Camille has performed at the Whitney Museum and PS21 with Sibyl Kempson (performance art GOAT), premiered new work at The New Dramatists, started a family, released three records, earned a master’s degree, and became a beloved children’s musician and educator. She "quit" comedy in 2016 but now she is UN-QUITTING!
Hosted by Camille Harris, the night will feature standup, music, storytelling, videos, comedy dance and fun surprises throughout the evening, with music from The Georgia Weber House Band in between!!!
