Celebrate 140 years of University Settlement at this FREE, family-friendly block party on Saturday, October 3, from 11:00 am–5:00 pm in Brooklyn’s Park Slope!
University Settlement, America’s first settlement house, invites New Yorkers of all ages to enjoy an afternoon of outdoor fun, music, games, art, food and community. The celebration takes place at the PS 133 schoolyard at 610 Baltic Street in Park Slope, the site of University Settlement’s first program in Brooklyn more than 20 years ago.
Activities include a kickball tournament, carnival games, face painting, a DJ dance party featuring 90s hip hop, doo-wop and Motown, dance and music performances, a community art project, community resources, indoor art making and more.
And what’s a party without free food? Enjoy Jamaican patties, popcorn and ice cream while celebrating 140 years of University Settlement and the Brooklyn community.
Free and open to the public.
