Black in Latin America Film Series

The African Diaspoa International Film Festival presents: Black in Latin America, a virtual film series bringing together ten classic and contemporary films exploring the histories, identities, cultures, and contemporary experiences of Black communities across Latin America and the wider African Diaspora.

From Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Peru, Chile, and the Dominican Republic to Spain and the United States, the series explores themes of migration, displacement, race, identity, cultural memory, resistance, belonging, and self-determination.
