moreDue to the steady rise in popularity of skateboarding, the New York City government has created a number of skate parks at various locations around the city which are specifically designed to offer an opportunity for individuals to perfect their skills on inline skates, skateboards and bikes. There is at least one of these public facilities in every borough, and skaters can also head to conventional parks in the city and scout for asphalt surfaces that are set aside for the skaters among us.
Please keep in mind that in order to use these facilities you are required to sign a liability waiver, and you must wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards.
